Posted on Sun Jul 27th, 2025 @ 10:05pm by Captain Kelly O'Connor in Sim Announcement
Folks, we have been far too slow in finishing Mission 8. I really want to incorporate all of our new players, so I'm going to start Mission 9 simultaneously to the conclusion of 8.
Mission 9 is a "shore leave mission." We're going to find a nice planet while continuing to patrol this out of the way area near the Neutral Zone (Only one with Romulans nowadays, for reminders). The first two or so days will see everyone getting to play on an apparently idealic, quiet planet, with nothing but animal life.
Please ping me if you want to be…

America has won the Gameplay Award in the Tournament of Sims!
I apologize for my absence. Running for judge has been time consuming. Also, with my wife having had breast cancer surgery, I was on triple duty between playing lawyer, taking care of family, and running for judge. In the interim, I was hoping for a set of posts to start, but they had not. So, in the next few days I'm going to set a post up assuming part of the plot occurred and getting things moving again.
Let's make America even greater!

Mission: Mission 8 - A Blast from the Past
Posted on Tue Aug 26th, 2025 @ 2:39am by Lieutenant JG Axel Heskin & Lieutenant Commander Amaya Capac
Axel stood poised at the edge of the swimming pool looking towards the end of it beyond. It had been hectic dealing with that pollen situation, and Axel felt the need to do some relaxing. Well, something relaxing for him and that was to do some swimming. Nothing slow but the first part of his routine. Keeping up on his timing, he had won several swim meets and didn't want to be slack and let that edge disappear.
His hair was covered in a swim cap blue in color, the color reminding him of the blue waters of his homeland,…

Mission: Mission 9 - Unearthing Life
Posted on Sun Aug 24th, 2025 @ 4:31pm by Captain Kelly O'Connor & Lieutenant Commander Amaya Capac & Ensign Owen Reeves
"Ensign Owen Reeves, Petty Officer Jessica Cuthane please grab your gear and make your way to the Transporter Room. We are approaching our rendezvous with the America." Came the voice of the Peresus' CO, Captain Thomas Rushman.
Owen looked around the room that had been his home for the last two weeks. Though he was already thirty years of age, he'd just graduated the Academy, and the America would be his first posting.
He lifted his carryall to his shoulder, and headed for the Transporter Room, with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

Jessica swore. She knew this time…

Mission: Mission 8 - A Blast from the Past
Posted on Sun Jul 27th, 2025 @ 11:55pm by Captain Kelly O'Connor & Lieutenant Eric Thornton & Lieutenant Drake Yarrow & Lieutenant Thorvaar & Lieutenant JG T'Pruk & Lieutenant Kailani Young & Lieutenant Harris Zim & Lieutenant JG Axel Heskin
O'Connor sat on the bridge, her feet dangling and not touching the floor of the bridge. Most crew members had grown used to it, but O'Connor still glared at anyone that might look in her direction and potentially tease her about it. Her frown was doubly furrowed at the moment because she had let pollen overtake her. Never mind that the reaction was natural and unavoidable, the Captain always felt she was above such things.
Problems still plagued her: there was a captive Romulan. The XO and her Chief of Security were still lost on the planet. The avian species…

Mission: Mission 8 - A Blast from the Past
Posted on Thu Jul 10th, 2025 @ 11:14pm by Lieutenant Cyrus Jericho & Lieutenant Commander Amaya Capac
ON:
Cyrus led Amaya to a particular spot, overlooking the shuttle crash sight. He held the phaser in his hand as he looked down to survey the area to see if he could spot anyone close by. Just because he didn't see them, doesn't mean they weren't close by. Cyrus had to time this perfectly. The problem with his plan was the terrain. He and his brother had run through the place where they were being chased for most of their lives. They knew it like the back of their hand. Unfortunately, this place was all woods and no city.…

Mission: Mission 8 - A Blast from the Past
Posted on Fri Jun 20th, 2025 @ 1:30am by Lieutenant Drake Yarrow & Lieutenant Kailani Young
The moment that Drake got off the bridge he made certain to take the turbolift with Kailani. He smirked at her and asked, "Going my way?"
"I suppose so," Kailani answered him coyly as she turned to briefly regard him.
"Just suppose?" Drake asked. "I certainly would not want to put you out. I'm far too much of a gentleman for that." He clucked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "Though, if you wanted to get a drink with me, I certainly would not be opposed."
Kailani laughed. "Oh, let a girl play it a bit coy!" she…

“Assistant Chief Medical Officer’s log.
I have started to settle in here on the USS America. Although very different from my previous civilian life, I have come to embrace what Starfleet does. What once was a means to an end has slowly become something I care about. It is not just the values, although those matter. Exploration, seeking out new life, new civilizations…discoveries. Advancement. It is all tenants which I can hold close. Of course, there are some things I find strange to this day.
Before I joined Starfleet, I didn’t realise that there were no designated therapists. While a…
